15 years ago, former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl was circulated among his friends copies of a tape in which he played the vocals and played all the instruments. Grohl put together a real band with three musicians, signed with Capitol Records and officially launched the demo – still called Foo Fighters – in July 1995.

Michael Jackson’s ‘This Is It’ documentary will be premiered in 25 cities next month.
The movie, featuring footage of the late ‘Thriller’ star rehearsing for his 50-date London residency, will have 15 simultaneous premieres worldwide on Tuesday, October 27, with a further 10 events also held on the same date.
In the UK, the screening at London’s Leicester Square will take place at 1am on Wednesday 28 October in order to coincide with the 6pm start time of the Los Angeles event on October 27.
