The Saboteur A game worthy of Tarantino

There is a little Tarantino in the video game The Saboteur, released a few weeks ago on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. From Tarantino to “Inglourious Basterds” in particular. In the film, American soldiers played the machete to take revenge on the Nazis … and “arranging” the historical reality. Console is just the same. In The Saboteur, the player plays Sean, an Irishman in the resistance … in the Paris of the aion buy kinah. For historical realism, could use some work, but it is probably not the most important.

From black and white to color
In terms of video games, one of the most important is undoubtedly the graphics. In The Saboteur, nothing to say, it is a success, despite some elements a bit “fuzzy.” This arises partly from a certain originality: to immerse the player in a world in black and white, which appear only touches of color. Colors that are more and more space as and extent of the plot, ie, whenever Sean overcomes his enemies Nazis. For this, the player is spoiled for choice: castagne with his little fists, the even more violent with his weapons stockpile or discretion in infiltrating closer to the enemy … This solution is pretty cool to play, but can also point to some weaknesses in artificial intelligence because even with the greatest discretion, the Germans eventually always find you - perhaps a sixth sense, Nazi …

Good but uneven
During each mission the player will have the opportunity to walk the streets of Paris and other Alsatian villages with aion kinah freedom. In the manner of an ATM, The Saboteur actually offers a fairly wide area. That helps increase a little the life of a game, which can not be blamed much to this level.

Blame, but rather to sound the atmosphere that we could address: the music is nice - although repetitive - but it is above the cries of bystanders and Nazis or dialogues that leave something to be desired. We could again make a comparison with Quentin Tarantino who does not hesitate to offer dialogue worthy of a staggered series Z. But if this film easily assessed, it seems much heavier - even ridiculous - in this game. But this does not The Saboteur to be a very good GTA-like. Very good … but unequal.
